  1. the ball goes where your shoulders face it your fore arms are straight

  2. There are many situations that fit this question.

Number one, if you're talking about simply passing the ball, then the ball will go in whatever direction your body is facing.  A good rule of thumb to go by is this: if your writing hand is your right hand, then whatever direction your right foot is pointing towards is generally where your body is facing, same with the left.  Next, make sure you're playing low to the floor and standing up with your passes.  This will ensure that your passes are going where they need to be, and not flying all over the place.

Number two, if you're talking about being a defensive specialist and covering spikes, then follow your blockers.  If they move to the right, then stay in position and move in whatever direction the hitter is hitting.  If you're the middle up, make sure your covering the tip.

  3. your arms are a platform, where your platform faces will be where you hit the ball too, If your talking about when the ball is heading towards you then that becomes a judgment call. Your gonna have to play alot more to learn the trajectory of the ball. Hope this helps.

  4. Assuming you're playing by the rules, it'll be on your side of the net.
