How do i know which order to pluck strings on a guitar when reading tabs?

i know 0 means to be left open and x means dnt play it. and say 5 on the corressponding string means which fret. but i dont know which order to pluck the strings

I think you are describing chord boxes not tab.

If it is a chord then you can stum either down or up.

So fret all the notes in the chord then strum.

If it is a tab for a solo or a non chord riff then you play them in the order they are written left to right. If two notes appear above each other they are played together.
