How do i know which washing powder for cloathes is the best?

Their was something in the water that made powder soaps not break down all the way in water. So I changed to liquid soap. I think it depends on what type of water you are dealing with.

If i use a powder in the machine i mix it into a liquid as the first poster is right. It clogs up. Try a liquid by the main manufacurers like P&G, Unilever or the like. You really do get what you pay for.

powder is the worst thing to use in a washer, use a liquid,

the powder will wear the pump out, clog up the drains,

I use a cheap brand there all the same,

I quit using powdered Tide a long time ago & now I use Tide liquid. Bubbles do nothing  when doing your laundry. I used to think a lot of bubbles would ensure cleaner clothes, but later learned that wasn't the case. If you have a front loading washer, Tide makes a liquid detergent called Tide HE, that is specially formulated for that type of  washer. I have used Tide for years & though I tryed others, I went back to Tide & will never switch again. Tide can be used to pre treat stains as well, & does a great job at removing them. I use Final Touch softener, as it has bluing in it & makes my whites & brights really clean. Wisk & All are good liquid detergents to use also.

I buy shops own brand of non bio and i have not any problems with there soap powder. as long as you choose the right temperature  when washing to get rid of the dirty stains away and leaving it smelling fresh and looking clean.

Trial and error.  

You don't want bubbles if you are using an automatic machine

For an automatic liquids are better than powder as most are now cold fill, the liquid mixes better.

I buy a non-biological sensitive one, the bio ones make me itch.

Have a sniff when choosing, some smell better than others.

Supermarkes have their own brands, slightly cheaperm just as good.
