If u meant online status of contacts while logged into yahoo using yahoo mobile then here is my answer- The moment u "sign out of yahoo & sign into mobile device", u will be notified of contacts who r online. for example, if ur id is john8 & hv XYZ, ABC as contact IDs who are online, then notification will read: john8 has the the following people online: XYZ, ABC...n when some contact logs in/out it will again notify..


  2. There smiley icon beside their name is lit up.

  3. You go to "yahoo messenger" and click on "online" it should show your friends name and a happy face next to it
