How do i learn to think like a Poker Pro ?

I need to improve my Poker game and my friend told me that I have to start to think like a Poker Pro to succeed.

Easier said than done. Just keep practicing, forget the tips and strategy (most people who give advice shouldn't). Play how you feel and eventually you will find your game.

Analyse the cards in the middle. (is there a flush a straight or anything high in the middle?)

See how the other players are betting. ( Guess what hands they have Aloud or silently ).

Test their reactions to your bets.

If they hesitate, they might not have a good hand (or they could be going for a good hand), if they're confident they either bluff or have a good hand.

well you will need to learn you odds and percentages on the chance whether or not your going to hit your staight or a flush draw etc and know when to bluff but really its just the more you play the better you will get. goodluck

The main thing you friend is saying is most likely that you need to be more agressive in your betting. A poker pro knows how to get the most out of every hand they are dealt, knows when to slow play, bet big, check raise, try a bluff (and on who) and when to try to steal the blinds, or steal the pot. A lot of this come with experience, but many players will play too tight, afraid of losing when they try some agressive betting techniques. But this is part of the game, and the pros know how to do it best.

Ok what i find helpful is just playing online poker. Just keep playing in tournements and you will soon learn to read people and the way they play.

Like with most things the more you play or do it the better your gonna get. Poker takes year to master and get to the top. Maybe buy a book from someone famous in the poker world and look at the tips they give you.

Basically play your own game and you will soon learn.

Its basically you need to keep your nerves and learn to guess people's faces(if you are playing offline)
