so i want to go to community college next year...(i was unable to go this year because of some other problems).

but i the public transportation in our county is being dismantled (meaning no public transportation whatsoever)

they say there is a slight possibility that they may change their minds about it. there are also other problems going on too that greatly affect me and not being able to go school (like my mom's ailing health).

this problem has become bigger than me and im unable to do anything about it....thinking about it is driving me nuts. how do i leave this problem in God's hands when im such a worrier that i cant stop focusing on a problem that wont be answered for another few months?

  1. "My yoke is easy and my burden is light." - Jesus.

He means pray all that you feel to him, and let go of it. When the prayer is done his work begins. Keep praying but don't worry, because worry is lack of faith. Trust and be confident that God will do the best thing, because he always does -but in his time and his way.

Father, I pray that you would come into this situation. I pray that the desire to go to college, to learn and to better life, would be made possible by you. Solve the problem of transportation and provide all that is needed to enroll and continue and complete classes. In faith we give this to you, and trust in your love and hand. Thank you. In Jesus'name. Amen.

  2. First off you should work with the Holy Spirit inprayer:

Rom 8:26  Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

When finishing be sure to give thanks because:

Mar 11:24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

  3. Leaving it in God's hands I think is the biggest mistake ANYONE can make.  It is the assumption that by not doing anything, everything will work out.  This is A) lazy, B) not self-reliant, which is anathema to me and those of my customs, and C) irresponsible.

If you really want to leave it in God's hands, then just stop thinking about it.  And when its time to goto college and you have no way to go there, then you're screwed.

My suggestion to you in your problem, is to FIND some way of getting there.  What county do you live in that they would completely dismantle the entire public transportation?  That's insane.  There has to be other buses from other counties that go through there.  Within walking distance to me there are two buses that go through major cities, one in another state.  Your mom's health there really isn't much you can do, you'd have to juggle.  But I strongly suggest you do not just "leave it up to the fates", and take a more active role and look at possibilities.

Online college is one option.  The Gods know the Yahoo homepage shows it on the bottom of the screen more often then not.

  4. Just pray, God doesnt care if you are good or not in prayer, but be reasonable in what you are asking of him (ie "Please God get me a ferrari" is not reasonable) Im Muslim and we do like this "Please God, grant me my wish of whatever and I will surely repay by paying money to the poor people, or fasting for 1 day etc". To leave something in God's hands is like asking him to do whatever He feels should be done, whatever would be the best thing...

I hope that helps and dont stress, God will help you.... Peace Be Upon You :)

  5. There is an old saying in my house. "Wish in one hand and poo in the other and see which one gets filled first.

  6. I was in a situation where I had started college and was living off campus.  Then one day my engine overheated and my transportation broke down.  I had no money to fix my car, so my wife and I really prayed and some kind Christian friends gave us rides, never asking anything in return.  My wife was working 2 jobs to support us while I finished school, so it was truly an answer to prayer that God provided a way for us.  My friend, I am so confident that if you trust Him with all your heart, and do not doubt, He will provide a way for you to attend college.  Be patient and watch for His providence.  He may not answer right away just to test your faith and let it grow.  But persevere and claim God's promise to give you whatever you need, right on time.  Read Mark 11:22-24 and obey His word.  I am praying for you and God bless you.
