  1. Have you checked under the legs of the table...there should be some levelers that you can adjust.

    Something like these...

You'll need a bubble-leveler of some kind from your local hardware store.  Generally a 2.5 ft level works best for the job.

Also, Billiard slate backing is an important part of leveling the table. When a table is installed the tightness of the slate screws will affect the leveling.  The wood backing provides some give, so that by tightening the screws one at a time and inserting wooden shims underneath the backing, you can level the playing surface more accurately than in a table with unbacked slate.

  2. You can sometimes put shims under the legs to level one.

If it is a cheap one though, the tabletop might be warped.

  3. Better listen to Gene on this one

Shims?? Must be 100 tear old table

  4. Place it upside down! ha!ha!  You didn't say you were gonna use it to play.

  5. Ride with Gene here but use an engineer level instead if one is available. This type of level gives a omniposition look with only the one level.

  6. Put two levelers on top, perpendicular to each other. put shims underneath to level it. If you can't get them both level, your table is probably warped.
