How do i light a candle with a lighter without burning myself?

Just pick up one next time your at the grocery store, drug store or Lowe's as they all carry them. They are near the grills/charcoal.

I always hold the candle at an angel and then light it.  If you've got one of those candles that are like down in a jar permanently get one of those kitchen lighters that have the long ends on it and stick it down there and light it.  you could also use the long lighter for short candles too.

Hold the candle on an angle, take it out of its container, light the lighter and angle the candle into the flame, - not the other way round.

easy way get the long matches for fireplaces they work great or light a long candle and light the other candle with that

Hold the lighter upright, and the candle sideways.  It won't have enough time to drip wax as long as you turn it back up rightside within a few seconds of being lit.

hold the candle and lighter at a angle, but have the candle coming towards the lighter, not the other way around. and bam! its lit.
