How do i load my i tunes library onto a new computer?

my old laptop has died, and I am attempting to load the itunes directly from my ipod onto my new computer. Any ideas as to how this is done?

you plug in your ipod to your new computer and download itunes again and all your song from your computer should automatically download them selves into the new itunes!

Better yet - take the hard drive out of the old laptop and plug it into the new one.  You can put the old drive into an external hard drive case that you can get for $35 or so. It plugs into a USB port, and will show up under My Computer as the E: drive.  You will then be able to copy your music from My Documents/My Music/iTunes on the old drive.

Make sure you get the 2.5" exclosure, which is for laptop drives.  The 3.5" ones are for desktops.
