How do I log into yahoo messenger on my phone but thru a text message and how do i view my contacts?

I used to use the yahoo messenger that came on my phone but it would run slow i would get my messages late so now I want to do it thru text messages but i dont know how to use it very well can someone help

Signing In from your mobile phone

If you are away from your computer, the alternative way to sign into Yahoo! Messenger for SMS from your mobile is to send a SMS message "in [your Yahoo! ID] [your password]" like the example below.

For example, if your Yahoo! ID is "myyahooid" and your password is "mypassw0rd", your message would be "in myyahooid mypassw0rd".

Send the message to 62580.

Once successfully signed in, you will receive a list of your online friends. Your status message will appear to users on the PC version of Yahoo! Messenger as "I'm on SMS".

NB: Use lowercase for your password.

When your in a text message and you can send it then press the left button on your cell and then press cancel  conversation and your back in yahoo!messengers!!! And on the yahoo!messenger there's all your buddies!!
