  1. depends on what brand it is.

    Try googling the model number.


  2. if you are connected to the router then, right click on the computer icon in your taskbar and click on status, then support tab, and note the default gateway number.

    open an internet explorer/mozilla (any browser) type in that default gateway and hit enter

    you will need username and password to log in to router interface

  3. type your ip address in the url bar

  4. Best way is to enter your routers Default Gateway into your Browser. Then you will have to log in.

    These are the Most Common Routers and their Login Porcesses

    LINKSYS: http://192.168.1.1

    Default Username - (leave blank)

    Default Password - admin

    NETGEAR: http://192.168.0.1

    Default Username - admin

    Default Password - 1234 or password

    DLINK: http://192.168.0.1

    Default Username - admin

    Default Password - (leave blank)

    you can check it by doing an ipconfig
