How do i look slimmer and cuter in my uniform shirts?

Question

I am going into grade nine next tuesday, and this is the first time that i have ever went to a school where i need to wear a uniform

my choices are white and black short sleeve Polo's,

black pants,

or beige shorts,

i can only wear white and black tank tops under neath

and on top of all this i feel very fat and uncomfortable in ym uniforms,

any thign i can do to make me look cuter?!

Think of it this way...

You're a school girl...in a school girl uniform.

I don't think I actually know any guy that doesn't have a school girl fetish to some degree.

Just keep that in mind everyday when you get dressed and you'll feel cute no matter what :)

MAJOR TIP: always wear something that fits a little loose on you.  it is so much more slimming when a person wears something a little loose than when they wear tight clothes that show love handles and such.  Also- black is a slimming color and it looks great with beige shorts so i think that would be a really flattering outfit.

Watch Gossip Girl - wow, do those girls rock their uniforms. I think accessorizing is key. I know most schools don't allow crazy modifications to the uniform or outlandish accessories, but a few pieces with charater can go a long way in making your uniform more interesting. You're probably dying to express your personal style!

For example, if you're allowed coloured tights they're really cool. If your school won't go for colour, some cable knit or "sweater"- looking pair of tights in a basic colour adds interesting texture and looks cool. I myself am a curvier girl and I like how tights keep everything "locked and loaded" as I always say. Tights keep my jiggly bits from bouncing around too much and they make me look taller which makes me look slimmer.

I also find when clothes fit closer to the shape of the body that they are more slimming. I know it's sometimes tempting to go for the more oversized "boy fit" polos to "hide" out, but I like a slimmer fit because it shows my shape and doesn't add extra bulk (which I do not need). We can be cute AND curvy ppl - deal with it! Wear the polo open with a contrasting cami (= white polo, black cami) and a cute necklace to inject a little more style into that uniform. You can toss on a cardigan if you feel cold/insecure and still up the cuteness.

Also love coloured flats and embelished headbands (which Blair from GG does so well). I've never had a bad day wearing yellow shoes. To top the whole outfit off, maybe some huge faux diamond stud earings and a killer school bag or oversized purse. You can add accessories like keychains, pins, patches from your fav band to your purse or back pack all you want and not break dress code ;)
