Question:

How do i loose this weight?

I had my son almost three years ago, i now weigh 5 kg less than i did before i fell pregnant , but I'm pretty sure its just muscle loss. I used to dance 5 days a week, but quit not long before i fell pregnant, i do 30 minutes Pilates every second day , as i work as well and that's all ive time for. I eat well ,veggiesare my fave. But even though I'm im a fairly healthy person, i cant budge the extra kilos and my muscle mass is nothing compared to that of my previous dancers body :( Im 176cm tall and weigh approx 70kgs, i want to get to 65kgs with good muscle tone.

I also lift small weights twice a week...

Any quick fixes , as im kinda desperate and getting unmotivated about the whole thing.

  1. working out will make you gain weight "more muscle=more weight" go on a diet but still work out


  2. Do you drink plenty of water? It is great to flush out our system and amazing what different it can make to one's weight and skin. It's horrid how our body changes with each pregnancy. As long as you are eating a balanced diet and getting exercise things should improve. That is as long as you aren't eating more than you need. Perhaps check you plate sizes. (something that I had wrong) You do have to remember muscle weighs more than fat so keep doing what you are doing and eventually you will see the results.

    If motivation is a problem do it with a friend - its great to have someone else to bounce things off of!

  4. Gaining weight when having a child is just a part of the process so first of all you need to realise that this is perfectly normal and not to stress out. A lot of people will not reduce their weight, BUT what you can do is keep with the healthy food, and introduce more exercise. I know you don't have time but surely when you take your son places you can walk or catch a bus and get off a stop early, or maybe walk around the house doing chores, or even put a treadmill or exercise bike in front of the tv. If all else fails take 30mins less sleep. No time are the excuses we make for ourselves.
