I graduated high school June 2007. I used to run long distance track. Now that I go to college full time and work part time I don't have time to run, but I do walk every day at least 2 hours (walking my dog).

I gained 10 lbs very slowly since I graduated high school.

I am almost 5'7" and 124 lbs currently.

I know I am not over weight, but I find it very hard to lose weight. I don't eat a bad diet. I will eat between 1,000-2,000 calories every day. I don't eat junk food or red meat. If I eat bread, I only eat whole wheat.

Please tell me what I do wrong?

Usually my daily diet is this:

breakfast: whole wheat bagel with fat free cheese or promise 5 calorie margerine and coffee with milk no sweeteners

lunch: depends usually i skip it and just have some peanuts and raisins between classes

and a 0 calorie or very low calorie beverage

dinner: Lean cuisine frozen dinner

snack: maybe 2 chocolate chip cookies or a small piece of chocolate or fat free chocolate milk

maybe some pretzels

fruit

what do i do wrong please help i want to lose these 10 lbs. but even on days i limit to 1,000 cals i don't lose anything. THANK U

  1. East six small measl throutout the day rather then thee big ones....dont east after 6 pm ,,,,,,,and drink losts of water ....and NO juice or caffine then  exersise with Jack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKCGe2Ezr...

  2. Obviously you know that you need to increase your exercise again - slow cardio is too time consuming, so go for intervals instead.  I know you are tired but for most people this is in part caused by lack of exercise.

You need to work a bit more on your diet.  There are some really good bits to it such as the wholemeal grains but there are some weak bits too.  Stop skipping lunch and try and eat evenly thoughout the day else you are going to be all over the place in your energy levels.  The raisins and peanuts are good.

You need to stop with the low calorie food, it's really not good for you and side effects of the chemical processing used to create it includes making you feel tired and putting on weight.  Yes, I know the latter seems ridiculous but then the low calorie food industry would be out of a job if everyone lost weight wouldn't they?

What I recommend to my members, heck never mind the direct link, try this page on my membership site instead, you'll have to ignore that it's written for guys gaining muscle, but have a read and see if it makes sense.
