  1. Ok for your height, you're a little over, but not much so no stress.  Since you want to lose your weight first and not tone, the best thing to start with is your way of eating. The most obvious thing is watch your carbs, and things high in fat. That way, you'll lose your excess weight, and by cutting down the fat your body will naturally tighten up. Then to start getting that tone you want, start exercising. Walking, jogging, whatever basic cardio you prefer to do. And if you want more of a tighter body, start lifting some light weights, that'll add weight to your body, but trust me you won't mind the weight, you'll see how you look and be happy with that. For tips on eating, start by eating some salad before you begin your main course. Drink water constantly with your meal.  Also, eat your meat before you start on rice or potatoes or bread, whatever it is that may be served. That way you'll have filled up on protein (which helps burn fat) and vitamins from your salad, and the water to. The water is important to, because although our stomach does digest our food, you'll make the process easier with drinking water to soften things up.  And trust me if you start lifting weights the muscle you gain will replace the fat that is there. So, just combine lifting with cardio and your body will tightern up just right.

  2. The most important thing is to lose the weight in a healthy way. If possible, consult your doctor or school nurse before starting any serious diet/exercise/weight loss program.

First you need to drink lots of water. Trust me, this will not only energize and help detoxify your body, but you can start losing some pounds and getting more of a natural glow.

Eat a balanced diet. No junk food (okay okay, maybe the occasional bowl of ice cream, but don't go too far off!). Salad with a low fat dressing and some nuts for crunch, grilled chicken and salmon for dinner. Fish is actually great for healthy living. Try to eat lots of fruits and veggies. Some low fat yogurt is also great in the morning or for a snack, really good for you too. Ask your parents or family members to try eating healthier with you. If they are so concerned with your weight, they should be happy to help.

For exercise, try running. Make sure you do some basic stretches first (you know the ones they have you do in PE? Try those.) so that you can be nice and limber for the run. Even just walking or jogging for 10 minutes each day can make a HUGE difference. It really is the best way to lose fat and get into shape. I never realized how much I enjoy living near a park because it's great to run there. They have a good mile-long trail around the lake, great for jogging. Try this around your neighborhood or at a nice park or track if possible.

You can also ride a bike around for a good 30 minutes, as this can help too.

Good exercises for legs (other than running) are squats and lunges (lunges can help your butt as well). For your stomach, there are always crunches, sit-ups, and all the variations of those. I find floor crunches aggravating after a while, so I do "crunches standing up". I discovered this from watching some ab infomercial. You almost have to dance to really work it, but it is a lot of fun and does work.

For toning arms, try lifting small weights. I like those little barbels that are cheap at walmart, but even lifting some groceries to help bring them in will work a little! Push-ups, again, are typical.

If you want to take it a step further, try yoga. We have Direct TV, and there is a channel called FIT or something that always has yoga shows on. The music is calming, and most of it can be pretty easy. Maybe even ask your parents if you can take dance classes or something fun and active like that.

    The possibilities really are endless!

Oh, and I hear that drinking ICE COLD water can help you burn more calories.

Good luck, and make sure to do this in a safe way. Starving yourself and the like just doesn't work. The results are awful, and you can actually cause your body to start eating at itself in order to get the nutrients it needs. Be safe!

*EDIT* If you really want to tone up and get into shape, try getting out more. The best exercise you can get is just moving around, and fresh air helps.

Also, it's obvious you have the internet. Try googling some exercise tips and moves that will target areas you are worried about.

And trust me, you aren't fat. You may be slightly over the weight that most people your height should be, but you aren't at all fat! Everyone sees themselves as being a bit worse than what they really are. I find that the days when I feel the most self-conscious about my height or my skin, I get the most complements on my size and complexion! Don't sweat the small stuff. If you're unhappy, exercising will not only tone you up but it will give you endorphins (which make you all giddy).

I hope you start seeing yourself in a better light soon. Good luck!

  3. Running or even walking burns a lot of calories, so does the elliptical, so you'll lose weight all over. I'd stick with cardio to lose the weight because it burns the most calories, stuff like situps just tones.

For food, just drink a ton of water or tea, like promise yourself you'll have a whole bottle of water before you eat anything, it'll keep you from small snacks and you'll be fuller when you eat so you'll have less.

    GOOD LUCK!

  4. try the Little Jack exercie program http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKCGe2Ezr...

  5. Cut down on calorie intake. When you buy food in stores, check the calories. Eat around 400-600 calories a day and exercise by doing something such as walking. Overtime this method will show the effects.

  6. although general exercise will help eating less is one of the best ways.

dont eat til your full is the key.  i use to be around 250 at 6'0". the way i lost it(im at 200) was just to eat less.  eating out less and less meats more fruits/vegitables.  almost all processed foods are not that healthy.

instead of eating 3 meals a day  eat 5 if you can. and eat only small meals.

  7. Oh dear.  Just to inform you, you're not fat- you're just a bit too self conscious and trapped in the fashion world of what's real and what's fake.  But, if you want to lose the weight, then I'll give you some tips, even though, I think everyone is unique and individual in their own way.

Starting with food- think of it as starting a new lifestyle and not dieting.

-DO NOT drink/eat junk food (oily foods, sweets), pop, fast foods, etc

-Avoid starving yourself, believe me, killing yourself by not eating will only add to your problems.

-Eat lots of fruits, vegetables, chicken, fish.

-Only eat meat once or twice a week.

-Drink tons of water; water takes out all the toxins in your body- so does cranberry juice.

-Exercise, but control yourself, the more you exercise the more the hungry you will get.

    - Only eat three meals a day.  Breakfast- VERY IMPORTANT!! if you're not very hungry breakfast time then at least eat cereal or a granola bar...something. Lunch- eat something that will fill you up- NO BURGERS, etc, etc, you should know what not to eat. Dinner- keep it light- oh and dinner should be before 8:00.

-Absolutely NO midnight snacks, especially after 8:00

Keep exercising, jog in the morning, do crunches, you'll find yourself losing weight.

Remember, it takes time and patience, you need to keep reassuring yoruself you can do this, believe me, you'll be able to reach your goal; one more tip, treat yourself once you've lost a certain amount of pounds, you need to do this in order to ensure you don't deprive yourself of it and gobble it all down like the cookie monster.

Good Luck ^-^ and hope I helped!!
