How do i maintain a habit of running?

I ran yesterday about 2 miles because i just felt very ecastic about running, now today i don't feel like running at all, how do i maintain my habit of running

If possible i want a answer soon bcause in my area it is already 1:30 and the day is almost over

  1. Go every other day.  It will rest your body and keep you interested.  Also, try setting a goal.  for example, are there any upcoming charity runs or local meets you might want to participate in?  With a goal in mind (especially once you sign up and pay any entrance fees) you will find it easier to stick to a program.


  2. I try and run in three day lots and then take a day off. Do you biggest distance on the first day, then take it easy on the second and just run what you feel like on the third. Also music is really key, pick like your 10 favorite tracks and only ever listen to them when you are running, that way its like a reward and its really motivating. Good luck

  3. I run with the cross counry team every morning at 8am because i lack alot of motivation.Just take a day off and try tomorrow. If you just wake up early you'll get used to it like i did and i HATE getting up in the morning.Ive been doing this for a couple weeks now and it seems to be working but i do have some days where i just dont get up.
