  1. well it depends on your coaches

i mean u cant be scared of da ball...basketball's all about being able to take the ball to the hoop... so i mean dont act scared likk give the ball up too quickly i aint sayin be a show off or nothing just go out there and play i mean it takes practice i played JV for half the season when i was a freshmen then i got moved up to Varsity i mean juz do everything you can out there dive for loose balls, and all that and i aint sayin itz garuanteed but juz practice cuz u can neva be too good basketball is dedication and DEF. hard work

    so good luck!

  2. be good at basketball

  3. passing is important do it with few turnovers.  Dont be afraid to do head fakes and draw fouls take a few charges if possible.

  4. well the only thing you can do is practice. Everytime you get theball try to keep it for longer and longer each time so finally you will have it for the perfect time. IT is always good to share the ball, but if the court is open and no one is blocking you then go for the basket!!

  5. I played basketball in high school. The best thing to do is practice dribbling the ball down the court, going as fast as you can go. Then, switch hands while dribbling the ball.  You can try to add some flair to it, but that isn't what the coaches are looking for. They will want someone who can dribble the ball. Be aggressive., be confident, and do not look at the ball as your dribbling it, keep your posture. Most importantly, do not get discouraged. Oh! once you've mastered the dribbling, do a lay up once you reach the end of the court. Practice your passing, aswell. Coaches don't like to see "rainbow" passes . They want firm, fast passes. Practice free throws and 3 pointers. Get along with the people you try out with. Be amiable, show them that you are a good sport and you won't bring any extra drama to the team.

  6. Well, if you want to get better you have to play against people better than you. Then when try-outs come you'll definitely see the difference in your game. Coaches like hustle, so be the one diving for the loose ball or saving it from going out.

  7. Well first you want to work on your handle so that you can be confident in your dribbling skills. After that you should be good
