how do you make a call from the united states to germany? my boyfriend is in the army and i have been trying for 4 days now. i know you have to dial 011-then 49. and i do have my boyfriends cell phone number its not a land line its a cell phone so i heard theres a difference when calling.. I need help!

I call Germany every day....why don't you use voice.yahoo.com or skype.com but, if he uses a military computer, he will have very limited access to skype !!

its costs more to call cell-phones to Germany!!!

That is correct, Germany's code is 49, but after that you have to choose which region of Germany you are calling which is one of these:

Berlin: 30

Frankfurt: 69

Hamburg: 40

Munich: 89

You guys should try looking into Skype its an internet phone company where you could buy a phone number in germany and then its  a local call ! or Skype to Skype is free.
