How do i make a cheese cake from scratch?

Well ill be home tomorrow so i thought i would make a cheese cake :) so help please! :D

  2. Here are some great recipes for cheesecake. Just remember not to overbake it so that it is too dry. If the cheesecake cracks, don't worry about it. It doesn't mean anything.

  4. The key is Mascarpone cheese. It's relativly expensive but worth it. For the best base believe it or not I find it's best to just crush digestive biscuits and add softened butter. (Not liquid soften butter from the stick) . Mix until the crums are damp when you cool it the butter will solidify(Hold together). Mascarpone cheese is very thick and absorbs the flavour of what ever you wish to flavour it with.

    In the restaurant I worked in previously we used to make a really great espresso cheesecake.

  5. Baked Cheesecake Recipe

    A smooth and creamy baked cheesecake recipe filled with rich cream cheese and baked to perfection. This recipe will get non-stop compliments and satisfied smiles. Cheesecake is one of life's great rewards, this one is no exception.

    Baked Cheesecake

    Ingredients:

    Crust:

    2 1/4 c. graham cracker crumbs

    1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted

    Filling:

    1/2 c. sugar

    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened

    1 tbsp. lemon juice

    1/2 tsp. vanilla

    Dash of salt

    1/4 c. milk

    2 eggs

    Topping:

    1 cup sour cream

    1/2 tsp. vanilla

    2 tbsp. sugar

      

    Directions:

    1. Combine graham cracker crumbs and butter, press into buttered 8 inch pie plate to form crust on bottom and sides.  

    2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add in lemon juice, 1/2 cup sugar, milk, salt and vanilla.

    3. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Pour filling into crust.

    4. Bake at 325F for 25 to 30 minutes or until set.

    5. Combine the 2 tablespoons of sugar, sour cream,  and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla; spread over top of cheesecake then bake for 10 minutes longer.  Chill for 5 hours or more before serving.
