  1. don't use like really rich fertalizer because it doesn't need that rich

i would go to like lows and get the fertalizer there

it works on all of my plants

  2. There are so many types of clematis's and they all have different or longer bloom periods than others.  So if you want a long bloom period, will have to buy one that specifies that on the information card.   I have had very good luck with the Jackmani (sp) dark purple flowers,  It blooms all summer long and is very hardy.  I have also seen in catalogs one called a 'Will Goodwin'  it is blue and is suppossed to have a long bloom season.  Fertilizer wise, I have always used Osmocote with success.

  3. I won't try to sound knowledgable about this topic because I am not.... but I had to respond...

My mother has the most amazing clematis' on our house.  They did take about 3 years to get to the amazing height and spread that they are now.  But even their first year was lovely.

She swears by her little "trick".  She saves all the egg shells from our cooking and puts them in a blender with water.  Then she pours that around them a few times a summer.  She also cuts them back every fall.

  4. Get yourself some Root Stimulator made by Green Light. they sell it at Lowes in the USA, and put a little Epsom salts (about 1-3 tbl spoons) around the base and water as you would any other time, then get ready for the show, and don't tell anyone how you did it, if you wish, let them admire for as long as possible, you can use it on your tomatas to get many harvests instead of one or two. also talk to your plants nicely it is good for to both of you.

  5. They can take as long as three years before their first serious show of blooms. Almost all Clematis will start to produce diminished shows after several years without pruning.

After new growth emerges, apply a balanced, all-purpose fertilizer biweekly, or use slow-release fertilizer at planting, following label directions.

    Soil pH slightly-acidic-to-neutral-pH6.5-7

  6. some plants like dead fish u plant it under the roots and they will break it down and it will be very healfty for trees with flowers

  7. try bloodmeal and work it into the soil
