To start a daycare I would do some research on licensing on your states office of Child and Family Services Website...or whatever State Agency is responsible for licensing in your state.

that will depend alot on where you live. where i am there is such a shortage of child care that the gov't implimented License Not Required Child Care. This is for care providers who watch their child(ren) and a maximum of 2 other children at any given time. I plan on doing this when my maternity leave is up so I can still be an at home mom and make some money to contribute.
