How do i make a dds file on a mac?

I want to make a dds file so that i can use it on nascar 09 and the only computer i have is a mac.. is it even possible to do this?

Here's a converter program you could try. The program supports DDS, TGA, JPG, BMP, PNG and PSD images and you can import and export to any of those formats. Check the readme file (scroll down the page a bit) for a little more insight into some options that come with the program.
