How do i make a dvd from my home recordings?

when i record something on my digital camere like a movie clip how do i write this to a cd or dvd to watch on my dvd player? i have no problem putting pictures on a cd just the clips

Well i know for macs there is the two easy to use apps of iMovie and iDVD

I'm not sure about windows apps

but you need a video burning software
