How do i make a money order and mail it via usps....im stupid?

i won something on ebay and i have to do it by money order so how do i do it, this is what i think

1. take the amount of cash to the post office and ask for a money order

2. give them the money, and the fee which they charge

3. they give you a money order, which you then fill in with the persons information and your own,

4. buy an envelope and a stamp, then mail it

That certainly works, and it's convenient.

However, if you buy a money order at a grocery store or convenience store, just ask at the desk, it will probably be cheaper.  Postal money orders are usually much more.
