  1. if you have everything synced to the phone then you have a good start. the important step is to make sure that the file you want as your ring tone is in the 'ring tone' folder.  to do that open the 'windows mobile device manager' and click on 'file management' (on your computer, not your phone).  click on 'browse files on device'.  double click on your device, not 'blue tooth' when the next window pops up.  go to 'my documents'.  then double click on 'my music'.  you should see your mp3 in there since that is where the music automatically gets synced to.  right click the file and copy it.  go back to the 'my documents' folder and then go to 'my ring tones'.  paste the file in the 'my ring tones' folder.  make sure that your phone is connected to your computer by usb when you are doing this.  when you're done you can unplug the phone.

what you need to do next is go to windows media player on the tilt (go to 'start' then 'programs' then 'windows media')

press 'my music' then press 'all music'.  it will probably ask you if you want to add music to your library, if it does say 'yes'.  if your song that you want is already on the list then you're ok with this step.

    next, go back to 'start'

    select 'settings'

in the 'settings' list look for 'sounds and notifications'. it will have a sound speaker as the picture.  press that.

on the bottom, by the onscreen keyboard button there will be two tabs.  one is 'sound' in which you are on already, and the other is 'notifications'.  press notifications.

in the 'event' box, click on the arrow that will bring the event list up.  scroll down until you see "phone: incoming call".  select that.

what will show up will be 'ring type' and right below it will be 'ring tone'. select the ring tone you want and press 'ok' after you're done.

sorry that this was a long description.  i had to figure it out all on my own, and it took me days!!  if you have any trouble feel free to email me!!  good luck!
