  1. The dealer for your car make will sell them in the parts department.

Mine (for VW) cost $12. Unless you're a millwright or machinist and have access to a lathe, you can't reliably make your own.

  2. If you go to walmart they should have the tools you need to take out a factory radio, but if the radio's after market you might be able to go to circuit city or best buy prefferibly circuit city and have them take it out or possibly buy a set of tools.

  3. If you need a 'TOOL' to remove a stereo then you are having an issue, the only tools you should be using is a philips head s***w driver and some knowledge of the car, look for screws that will help you remove the bezel (plastic) around the stereo - it would also help to know what type of car, many cars do have screws holding the plastic around the front panel of the cd player / look straight under the cd player, let your eyes follow till you are looking under more towards the ground and see if you see screws many of those would help, once you figure out how to take the panel off it will then be easier to remove the stereo - sometimes you have to go through glove box, again depending on what type of car/truck/suv it is... Check your owners manual too many car makes/models have manuals you can download on-line in a .pdf form and read.

  4. depends on the stereo.  factory ford stereos can be removed by coat hangers.  bend them into a "U" shape, and insert them into the two holes on each side of the radio.  Other radios are different.  alot of aftermarket decks use special tools.  if you are not sure on which tool you need, go to a competent, local shop.
