  1. Peel the Apple ( I use an potato peeler).

Boil the apple to soften it up. (Apples tend to be in there longer than other fruits) Do it for like 10-15 in boiling water.

Put the apple into the blender or food processor.

If it is not smooth enough, add like a tsp or 2 of water.

    Blend again.

I found that apple is hard to get that super smooth texture. My baby is at the age now where it does not need to be smooth anymore.

I also buy my veggies and fruit either fresh or frozen. Stay away from can (too much salt).

Bananas and other fruits that are already soft, just put into blender or food processor, there is no need to boil.

I serve mine within a week (or put into freeze if you do not plan on using it right away... into ice trays and cover up).

  2. Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces and boil them until they ar very soft. Once they are soft put them in a blender and puree them. If the child has had baby food already just boiling until they are soft is fine. You can do the same with any fruit or veggie. Remember when cooking veggies not to add salt or seasonings.

  3. These recipes are very simple and even YOU will love them!

    Applesauce 4-6 months+

    1. Peel, core and cut apple into slices/chunks

    2. Place slices or chunks into a pan with just enough water to slightly cover apples

    3. Boil/steam until tender; be sure to check on the water level and stir, That's It! Easy Peasy!

    4. Apples may be mashed with a potato masher to achieve a smooth applesauce consistency. You could also put them in a blender for 45 seconds. Make sure there aren't any solid bits because u dont want the baby to choke.

    5. Ask your pediatrician about adding some cinnamon for new tastes!
