How do i make biodegradeable bags from corn starch for a science project?

i am trying to make the bags from corn starch. I saw them in Europe and i would like to find a simple way to make them at home for a science project

  1. I found a link to plastic from corn starch but I know it say potato but when you read the instructions you can use corn starch instead.

  2. I don't think it is possible.

    Corn starch has little tensile strength.

    The bags you saw in Europe were made here in th U.S.A. years ago. They are a blend of plastics and corn starch.

    They degrade more rapidly when buried in land fills. There is a problem with that.

    The rapid degradation releases the toxins created by the degradation of plastics at a far more rapid pace and the potential damage to the environment is WORSE as a result.
