Hey I am doing a project about car pollution and want to make fake smoke come out my model car which is 1:18 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII, with out damaging my model car. If you can tell me how to make fake smoke come out a model car, I will choose you as my BEST answer.

  1. Get some cotton wool, spray it greyish black, make it into the shape you want and stick it on.

  2. you can purchase little tablets or liquid to go in the car, these tablets would usually be used in model trains.... Head off to a hobbie or model store

  3. model rail roaders have added smoke units to thier layouts for years. i did a quick search at walthers and came up with several emitters. these could be added underneath a display base and piped to your exhaust system quiet easily.

  4. Both suggestions would work (you'd probably need a heat source for the smoke tablets, though). Another possibility: get some dry ice. Cut off a little bit (without touching it -- it will burn your fingers) and put it in some water in a countainer in your car. The water will bubble and emit copious quantities of "smoke." What's more, there will be real CO2 in it . . .

Edit -- Dry ice is easy enough to handle, just have them put it in a box or something and to avoid burns don't touch it with your bare hands -- use tongs or if you must handle it more directly use something to insulate your hands, such as gloves -- it won't keep the cold out for very long but it should be long enough to shave some off or whatever you have to do.
