How do i make friends easier?

ok im moving to a new school, i just came from phx and moved to ogden ut but in the past few years ive moved alot and changed alot of schools... but i dont make friends very fast or easily.... and im nervous, and i dont want to be a loner! so how do i do that? and dont say just be your self cuz that doesnt work.....please!!!!!

OK, I think I'm pretty qualified to answer this;; I tend to find making friends easy and talking to strangers sometimes even easier than talking to people I know!  The trick is to be bold and confident.  If you act awkward, people will see and feel it.  Get into a lot of different activiites and don't forget;  what do you have to lose??? (:
