How do i make furniture out of wood?

You will need some tools. Then buy some books on woodworking. I wouldn't start with a table. Start with small projects and move up to bigger things as your ability progresses. Watch the New Yankee Workshop to get some ideas on tools and knowledge. If you want  better furniture, go to yard sales or auctions. I have found and bought some decent furniture for a song. I then refinish them and put them to use. I bought an oak kitchen table for $5 at auction. After refinishing it, we have a beautiful table for around $20.
