my dad still feels like its all his fault why she doesnt love him and he's now going through spiraling depression. how does a 14 yr old daughter make things easier and better for her dad?

  1. Your young and there isn't much you can do because it an adult situation. But talk to him ask him to take a walk with you, think of some funny old memories to make him laugh a little :D

  2. just give him some time. spend time with him and get him to meet new people. he will get over her but it takes time

  3. He needs to realize that that woman was not good for him at all, he needs to face the fact that it was not his fault she did those things to him.

People get knocked down, many times, but only the people that are willing to get back up on their feet start to feel better.

I do not know your father so I don't know his likes and or dislikes, but I am assuming you do. Find something that he enjoys and see what you can do to make that happen for him, do what makes him happy! :)

It sounds harsh but I do not really mean it too, he needs to find his reality and make the best of it. I am also very sorry about the money thing, but maybe there may be a loophole in getting around with little money for a while.

Theodore Roosevelt once said "Do what you can, with what you have, and where you are at."

I hope this has given you some ideas, and I hope you guys get through this. Best of luck!! :)

  4. good point--golddigger!!!!!  you ned to go to the doc with him, have him diagnosed as depressed or post traumatic stress syndrone----and turn the tables on her--slap her with a civil lawsuit!  don't pay any lawyer nothing--e-mail me, tell me what state u live in, andwe will find u a free lawyer--based on contingency!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. The best you can do is let him know that you love him and you will always be there for him, I wouldn't get into bashing his ex - no matter how much you didn't like her, there was prob something about her that your dad liked  (obviously)  if he snaps out of it a little suggest a father daughter date... he may appreciate that he can still have some fun without her... unfortunately there isn't alot you can say to him for the very reason that your his daughter and in his eyes prob not very "experianced" in this type of situation, even if you are.  Hope he gets back to his good old self soon :)

  6. .....that sucks i feel sorry for u
