  1. I am a former chef and for the sweetener why not use a fruit juice cooked down to a syrup like apple and add a bit of Ribiena, for the topping oats, oat flour or rice flour, cane extract syrup powder (it is just sugar cane juice boiled and allow to crystallize, never filtered or bleached) or muscavdo sugar, a veg based marg or vegan marg, a scrape or two of lemon zest and then tossed together and sprinkle on the top of the fruit/syrup mix, bake at 350 d F or 180 d C or Gas mark 3 for 35-40 minute cool and serve with a soya yougart dollop for a bit of tang.

  3. Place Blackcurrants in ovenproof dish with a little water and sweetener of your choice.

    6oz Plain Flour

    3oz Non Dairy Spread

    3oz Sugar

    Rub ingredients together and sprinkle on top of Blackcurrants, oven bake Gas 5 for 30 -40 mins

  4. Crumble mix is easy. Fat (Soya) and flour and sugar. Rather like a pastry mix. Add this mix on top of stewed blackcurrent and sugar. Delicious.
