Just picked up an 8hp briggs and stratton vertical shaft engine that has been sitting for about 8 years with very little oil and no gas in it. I have already drained the oil, changed the spark plug, and replaced the fuel lines. What are the next steps I need to take to get it running again? Does anyone have a wiring diagram available? do i need to take it apart? Can I try new gas, carb cleaner and fresh oil or could I damage it this way? This engine does not have an oil filter and it is pull start. Please email your info thanks a million
