i need to make my mom some lavender water for her birthday(i used all of hers XD) and i would buy some except i know that she really likes it when i make her stuff myself (i am very crafty),but all the recipes i've found use vodka and lavender oil, which i cannot get because i am a minor. i know that sometimes rose water is made by boiling 1 part rose petals with 2 parts water, and then straining it, but would that work for lavender water? i have an entire garden full of fresh lavender, as well as a few bunches of dried lavender, so if anyone has a recipe for lavender water that doesn't use vodka or lavender oil or any type of alcohol it would be greatly appreciated (not to mention rewarded with 10 pts!)

  1. you can try plain rubbing alcohol. make some test samples.

soak the buds with the alcohol and some water, give em a good stir and keep them in a cool dark place and shake em up every other day for a week.

cant hurt to try it :)
