  1. You could always go to a hair dresser and ask them to thin it out for you, it would take off a lot of weight if you have thick hair and/or maybe perhaps consider investing in a straightening iron and hairspray to smooth it out.

  2. before you dry it apply a small amount of oil then use some anti frizz cream I like frizz ease and for stubborn fly aways I use paul mitchells tea tree grooming pomade ( its for men but I love the stuff it works well)

  3. Straighten it! my hair was really puffy to. so when i got it cut i asked to get my hair thinned so now its not so puffy! and also use creams to flatten it and also some gloss would be great u can use products like got2be.

  4. You can straighten your hair with a hair straightener or you can buy the avon ADVANCE TECHNIQUES Super Straight Smoothing Balm it removes frizz, make your hair more shiny and put ur hair together for look of thinner hair. There are other hair product for your kind of hair at avon. You can check it out by going to http://youravon.com/ulam

  5. brush it with a straightening cream on the brush, it smooths it down and keeps it "together" like you said.  Tresseme has it for 2-5 bucks at drugstores and wal mart.

    good luckk x

    :)

  6. I have very very thick poofy hair too! Overall, growing it out helps allot, I put hair glosser in it (hair silk), it makes your hair shiny and want to stay togather, if you just want to wear it down or even in a ponytail, straightening it is the best thing you can do, the difference is amazing when you combine the silk (which you can buy any grocery store) and straightening. Other hair styles such as wavy or even curly can make your hair look really good if its thick like yours and mine. Buy some moose or spray that makes your hair wavy and scrunch sections. And also non-arosol hair spray isn't sticky and doesn't make your hair hard, this might help as well.

    Hope my advice helps!

  7. Start with just a touch of mousse on either wet or dry hair.  You can blow dry your wet hair straight and smooth with a big round brush.  Or you can use a fat curling iron to curl your dry hair either to flip up or under in big sections.  Either way smoothes out all the frizzies.

  8. sunsilk anti poof

  9. get a perm

  10. first of all, experiment with products. use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, a deep conditioner, leave in conditioner and various hairsprays and gel.

if that doesn't do it for you, get you're hair thinned out. basically, it's getting your hair texturized (layering that's not too noticeable). the hair on your head is layered into different lengths (without making the actual length of your hair any shorter) making hair less "poofy" and more thin and put together.

just ask your hair stylist, she'll know exactly what you're talking about and what to do.

good luck and i hope i helped!

  11. i have the same problem.

okay so first you need to buy Paul Mitchel's "skinny serum"

which is a little pricey but it last any where from 6 months to a year.

and you need some kind of moisturizer

    try infusem leave in conditioner

    then a SUPER light gel.

and apply this all when your hair is wet.

then wrap your hair in a towl and let it sit there for half an hour.

take a wide tooth comb (very important not to brush)

    and comb out your hair.

and wring any extra water out.

    after your done with that

    blow dry.

make sure the blow dryer is facing down on your hair the whole time, it creates shiney hair and reduses frizz.

your hair may be a little poofy after your done blow drying (mine always is) but it will go down in about a half an hour.

this may seem like alot of work, but its the only thing that works for me.

    tips:

always wash out all the shampoo and conditioner in your hair.

(if left in it will make your hair really dull and lack luster)

and all the hair products you only need a dime sized amout.

any more will make your hair greasy.

i really hope this helped, ive been there and it sucks.

  12. When blow drying, aim the heat at the shaft of your hair from the top of you head and brush down.

It works and if you add a shiny serum, it help hair get that glossy straight look, try fekkai.

  13. I feel your pain, but I really haven't done anything about it. I suppose you could try straighten it, and if you don't have a straightener, comb it while your hairdrying after a shower.

  14. Don't brush it when it is dry.  Brush it only when it is damp, and if you need to detangle when it is dry, use a comb and go sparingly.

  15. lots of conditioner if you dont have dark hair

  16. you should use a smoothing serum of some sort. mark has some great ones. my hair is really thick and i have to straighten it and use mark straightening products. you can buy them here http://vanonas.mymarkstore.com

  17. Don't brush it then. Try to let it wet itself down. I would say layer it, or just grow it out long so that it gets weighed down.

  18. try straighting it or getting a hair cut or both

  19. hairspray

  20. You could get it thinned out. I did this several times, I would never go back to thick hair, ever.
