  1. Don't write the letters...draw the letters.

  2. Practice a lot .

  3. it will take painstaking practice

start writing out slow and just increase your speed little by little

  4. On lined paper...continue to make cursive L's. You  have to try and make each loop look exactly the same.  Over time penmanship improves.

It also helps just to take your time writing.

  5. Keep working at it. Take paper, and write a bunch of stuff on it. If you don't like how you write a specific letter, then change it to the way you want it to be written. Then write it like that for about a week. Eventually, your hand will keep it like that.

That's what I do. Now, I love my handwriting! (not trying to brag.)

  6. Practice...Practice...Practice...did I say PRACTICE?

Is there any reason why you have to write so fast?  If not, why don't you use the rule of thumb that if it doesn't have to get turned in to your teacher, you can write any way you want to as long as you can read and understand what you've written later on.

Just practice the ABCs in upper and lowercase.  Eventually, you will get so use to writing them a certain way that it will be a natural thing for you.

You don't have to write in the way you were taught with all the curley-q letters like the way you learned in grade school (look at other people's handwriting style and try to copy those that you like <I'm not talking about forging someone's signature on a check or anything like that, but rather, copy the way they write certain letters of the alphabet.>

I, myself, have been told that I have a very neat and easy to read writing and my particular style is half printed and half in handwriting, so that just goes to prove that as long as others are able to read what you are trying to say, you'll be ok.

  7. practice makes perminant. Oh, there's classes on this. You could take one.

  8. Great question. My hand writing is horrible and I'm.... um... older... :-). I type too much and seemingly forgot how to write. You have some good advice here.
