How do i make my laptop run like it used to.?

I have a sony vaio laptop which is only about 2 months old. It was very fast when i got it but. But for the past week or two it has slowed down so much. Internet, loading and starting up the computer have slowed down greatly. I dont have viruses as i did a scan with 2 different programs. Only 48GB of the computers 140GB are used. 5GB of this is music. I do not know what else could be effecting my laptop. Anybody know why and what i can do?

Follow these directions.

Set start menu to classic > start > RUN > type in MSCONFIG > click on startup tab > uncheck all boxes.

To set start menu to classic right click the bottom bar and select clasic view. You could change back to vista view afterwards.
