How do i make my music a ringtone on my LG Dare and the new Chocolate LG for verizon?

new phones, i want to make my music into ringtones.

like so i make the ringtones myself on my compuer and set them for my phones ringtones.

how do i do it?

or can i make a song a ringtone?

Verizon likes to make things complicated for their cell phone users by blocking the ability to set mp3s in the music folder as ringtones, but where there’s a will, there’s always a way.

The easiest way is to email them to your phone from a computer by sending it as an email attachment to [e-mail] (i.e. [e-mail]).

if you have the unlimited data/media package I don't believe there is a charge, if you don't check with your verizon plan to see the cost (should be cheaper than buying it from VZW)

I don't know about the LG Dare but with the Chocolate you can't set your music as a ring tone. You have to purchase them, which stinks cause they are like 2-3 dollars.

you need to upload the mp3 file and cut it down to 30 seconds. A great FREE site for that is Ventones

1) upload your mp3 file

2) make your ringtone

3) have them send it, or if you never get it, because Verizon can be a pain,

just download the ringtone and send it to your phone's pix address

[e-mail]

dont put a 1 infront, just 10 digits

or

1) make your ringtone from ventones

2) download it to your pc

3) buy a memory card for your phone and a usb memory card reader

4) transfer the ringtone from pc to your memory card using the reader

5) then text yourself the ringtone as a pix message

6) when you get it, "Set as Ringtone"
