How do i make my site more popular

hey. i have a website called bikamby.com. its not much but i hope to someday improve it and make it more popular without spending money on advertising.

I will give you some pointers based on your website.

1.Make it better man. Make a custom layout that grabs attention not a mass used template like the one you use. And a better looking one.

2.Put inside stuff that attracts people. (No copyrighted things)

3.There are different free banner exchanging programs that you show other sites banner randomly on yours and the same happens to other sites with your banner.

4.You can put your link on search engines or site listing so you can appear better in search engines.

5. You can talk with other site administrators that are interest to have a link en change with you.

If you want to have advertising without money, then pretty much the only way is to go by word of mouth (or should I say bits). Find out if any of your friends has a reasonably popular website or blog, and ask if they can mention your site. Make sure they don't mention it's by one of their friends, or else it will look fake.
