How do i make myself....?

well i will eat dinner and i cant control myself from getting the second serving do you guys have any methods on how to not get a second helping or eat so much???

  1. Wait 30 seconds between each bite of food.  Really time yourself.  You will find that you feel full on one serving.  


  2. This is what i do:

    I serve myself half of main meal, say rice and fill rest of the plate with green salad so i have a full plate to eat from. Also try eating slowly and drink a glass of water before every meal, it fills you up.

  3. The best way is to make only enough for each person to have one portion. If you don't cook it - you can't go back for seconds!

    Also, eat slowly. If you eat too fast your body can't tell that you're full. It takes 20 minutes after you being eating to realize that you are full.

  4. Eat and chew more slowly.

    Don't be distracted while you're eating (i.e. no watching TV)

    If your meal is low fat, you might want to consider increasing the fat content (as long as if you do not have a medical condition which requires you to stay on a low fat diet) since it'll help you to feel fuller.

  5. I have the same problem, especially when dinner is extra yummy! What I have learned to do is always prepare something with the main dish that is low cal, that I CAN have seconds of. Beans, salad, rice, jello, fruit, etc. As long as you flavor these things with salt/pepper/dry herb type of stuff, you should be okay. I for one LOVE to eat. I think it can be worked out.
