i bought a rat one week ago and two days ago she had ten babies. she had them when i wasnt home and there are also 4 other rats in the cage and they took over the babies because the mom was very young and shy. on the first day one baby died so i moved her to another cage by herself and the babies. after the first night 6 of the babies died so now im left with three. there are no pet stores near me so i went to ralphs and bought this milk called "catsip" its made for cats but i bought it so they would have something to drink. it has low fat milk, lactase enzyme, and taurine for cat's eyes. they have been drinking it for 2 days now. is there any way to give them more nutrition? could anyone give me a recipe that doesnt include things from a petstore?

  1. Cow's milk or kitten milk should suffice, it may mean that their overall health will suffer later on in their lives, but as far as that goes, this is probably the best solution for now

  2. http://www.rathelp.org/FosteringYoung.ht...

  3. Most rats will drink kitten milk, you can usually buy it at most drugstores or superstores across canada. Also try searching on Rat Fourms, good luck

  4. you dont make rats milk you go to the store and buy some cows milk
