How do i make unsweetened chocolate semi-sweet?

I'm making cookies and the recipe calls for 18 ounces of semisweet chocolate pieces. I have 7 ounces, but I have a lot of unsweetened chocolate. What can i do?

    If  you have 7 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate and the recipe calls for 18 ounces, then you will need 11 more equivalent ounces of semi-sweet chocolate substitute.

    To have 18 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate, follow this formula:

    * Your 7 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate

    * Mix 11 ounces of unsweetened chocolate with 11 tablespoons of sugar.

    You will now have 18 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate substitute.
