How do i make video files smaller?

I have an olympus fe-190 camera. I take video but anything thats more than 10 seconds long, i wont be able to upload to youtube cuz its too big. does anyone know how to make the files smaller, if even possible?

  1. The reason why your video is too big because the resolution is too high.

    Youtube has a limit on user uploads. It cannot exceed 100mb or 10 minutes.

    Go to http://cinemaforge.sourceforge.net/ and download Cinema Forge. CinemaForge will allow you to convert your video.

    Install the software and run it. When you run it, select the source file, that is the video itself and then look for the screen resolution settings and the output video.

    I recommend using 320x240 resolution. It should be 30 frames per second and the best format is MPEG4 (Divx).

    Click on 'Encode' after choosing the settings. It might take time to encode the video, it depends on how big your video file is.

    You should be able to upload the new video to Youtube.
