How do i master the shere grid in final fantasy X?

do i just add everything on the sphere grid? or do i just skip everything besides the defense and power

You are talking abotu maxing your characters?

You may as well use everything. The process of maxing out is a fairly long process, and the only increase in time going through everything would cause would be needed to farm more. But using Distiler items on the arena creation named Kottos wil let you get the ones you spent back in about 5 minute. And the extra power your characters get by using all the Sphere Grid nodes will more than make up 5 minutes just in killing enemies faster.
