How do i measure my specialized mountain bike?

i think its 17 inches but what bar do i measure to find out?

  1. They're measured from the center of the bottom bracket (where the crankarms attach to the bike) up to the top tube (the horizontal-ish one).   Different manufacturers measure to a different point, so it gets hard to compare sometimes.   Specialized uses the more common measurement to the center of the top tube.

    Specialized lists geometry and sizing specs on their site, but they don't have a diagram of it.  If you take a look at Trek's website and most other mfrs, you can see exactly where on the bike they are referring to for the various measurements.  

    Anyway, get a tape measure and go from the center of the crankbolt up along the seat tube, and mark where it intersects the center of the top tube.
