In order to unlock the ability to migrate Pokémon, you must first obtain the National Pokédex. Then head to Sandgem Town, and surf down and to the right onto Route 221. Follow the path and you'll be at a building. This is the Pal Park, and is where all migrated Pokémon will appear.

Once inside, Prof. Oak will greet you, and give you details on how Pal Park works.

To migrate Pokémon into Diamond and Pearl, you need to make sure you've saved at a Pokémon Center in your GBA game, and then insert it into the GBA Slot on the DS.

At the main menu, you'll see the normal Continue option, New Game, and you'll also see a new option for Migrate from ____. Select that, and choose your 6 Pokémon to migrate.

You cannot migrate any Pokémon that knows an HM move, so you'll have to delete that if you wish to migrate.

You can also only migrate 6 Pokémon from any GBA Save per 24 hours.

If you migrating from a GBA game - just know that you won't be able to put them back.

Make sure that you put your GBA game in the slot before you turn on your DS

Once you turn on your DS go to the screen that starts your game and you should see a line that says "Migrate from..."

go down to that screen Press A.  It will ask you if you want migrate from that game pak.  You answer yes or no.

Then you pick the pokemon you want to migrate into Pearl

you go to sandgem town and surf down from the beach. once you reach land with grass walk until you reach a big building that's pal park. When you enter prof. Oak will be there and he  will talk to you and give you a poketch app. Then you should save and turn off the power. Enter a previous pokemon game in the gba slot (gameboy color games dont work.) Then before you completely start click on migrate from blank.Then choose 6 pokemon you want to migrate(they can't be returned to the gba game.) Then you have to wait 24hours
