  1. Best way to move tables is with a piano dolly.

  2. get 2-3 people. go under the table on your hands and knees and use your backs to lift it a little and crawl.  I do this to move pinball machines too.

  3. measure two feet and move it

  4. Lots of help and slide it .Theres really no easy way -dont try it alone

  5. You lift the pool table up and maesure it 2 feet.

  6. Get those things that they show on TV...They're called movers or something.. You would put them under each leg of the pool table and then just scoot it! Those things are small and round...and they move heavy stuff!

  7. place cardboard under each leg

    it helps it slide

  8. YOU SLIDE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. What kind of floor we use a pallet jack at the bar

    Not very good on carpet

  10. You can't slide it any more than a few inches because it can crack the slate or the slate can become unlevel. The best thing you can do is slide dollys or some thing that will move easy under each leg. Make sure when you put it on the dolly you do it evenly.

  11. if it's a wood top table, go ahead and just pick it up and move it corner by corner (if you are alone)...BUT if it's a slate table...you'll definitely need help..not only due to the fact that it's heavier, but because it's SLATE..slate is a heavy slab made of quartz, graphite, zircon & other stones..this table slate is very delicate, (you wouldn't think so, since it's so thick) the slightest wrong move can/will crack it and your table will be no good :(....it's best to pick it up, straight up, and move the table with you to the desired area(rather than sliding it)..make sure you let the table down to the floor gently and slowly...but like i said...if it's wood...awheck..by all means, just slide it to the side  :P...if it's too heavy for you to pick up corner by corner, then try to either get carboard on the feet and slide it, like that guy said...or put a blanket under the feet, one by one and pull the blanket to move the table..remember that slate issue though, if it is slate

  12. I was reading some of the answers and there's some good ones in there.  I just came up with this idea.  This will sound terribly tedious and time consuming, but I believe would be very safe.  You will need four car jacks, two 6 ft. length of 2 X 4's, and four of those little wheel platforms.  Put a car jack near each of the corner pockets.  Place one of the boards across the width of the table underneath.  One board for two jacks.  Are you starting to see what I'm driving at?  The boards are to protect the table underneath and to distribute the pressure points created by the jacks.  As evenly as possible, raise all four corners at the same time, slide the platforms underneath the four legs (most tables have four legs) and again, evenly release the jacks.  Slide the table where you want it and you can probably figure out the rest.  Sound complicated enough for you?  Like Dre said, slate is terribly fragile and this just sounds like a very smooth and gentle way to move it.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

  13. 5-7 friends
