How do i move songs from windows media to itunes?

I had a friend sent a song to me through msn and i clicked to open it and it opened in windows media player and saved there! How do i move it to itunes? I have tried dragging it into itues but it didnt work and i dont know what to click on to move it! please can someone help?!?!?

  1. I'm not too tech savvy but I usually just save it all into a folder and then go to iTunes and select file on the toolbar. Go to import, pull up the folder, and it should put them into your library. Hopefully that works for you.  


  2. It will not have saved in Windows Media. First you need to find it in you hard drive. Then you go into itunes, select "File", "add file" and select it. If it is MP3 it will add it, if it is WMA it will convert it into an itunes compatible track. Then it will be in your itunes library.

  3. if it is in an MP3 format you can't move it to itunes

  4. right click and chose the open with option and it will give you a list of programs you can open the file with, choose itunes and there it will be (I think)
