  1. chill, your not the only new person on campus it will be OK, what your feeling your classmates are feeling the same thing. Bring your lunch for the first day but bring it in a bag so you don't have to carry a lunch container it unnecessary, once you see what the school food loOKs like and it looks ok buy it, that's up to you. if you get lost just go up to someone that you think could help you a teacher or if you have a little more courage a cute guy so later you can go up to him and spark a conversation up. take deep breathes and you ll be fine

  2. You only have one thing to remember when you start school.

EVERYONE else is nervous too.  You'll get there and kick yourself over how much you worried about it.

    1) Go to an open house and find your classes.

    2) Look to see if your friends have the same classes

    3) If you have any older friends, ask for advice.

And most importantly, Do NOT try and act like everyone else.  The problem most people have when they go to high school is that they turn into clones.  Just be yourself.  Join the clubs YOU like and try out for a sport team if your into that.

As for the food thing-I worried about that too but the truth is that Nobody cares if you brown bagged it or bought lunch.  Granted any food from home would be better than school dribble-after a year it starts to look like garbage.

  3. No matter what, you will be a little nervous on your first day. That is completely normal. I always bought my lunch at school because that is what all of the other kids did. If you get lost ask a teacher where your class is at. Try to avoid asking other kids because they  may tell you the wrong thing. Try to have your outfit picked out the night before. And do your best to get some sleep the night before. At school put yourself out there and say hello to other people. You will be fine. It really isn't that much different from middle school.

  4. Definitely buy your lunch on the first day. On the first day teachers are generally relaxed on the tardies and don't give them out until they get into the routine. Most people can help you find your way they did for me on my first day. And don't worry because a ton of people will be in the same position as you so it won't be embarrassing.

  5. don't be nervous! teachers will expect that you'll get lost and its more than likely they will not count you late the first few days. i would buy lunch. if you get lost, there will definitely be a teacher or older student you can ask. don't worry about things you can't yet control =] have a good year--im sure you will.

  6. don't worry man, everything will be fine.

  7. no but thats not a good way to look at that

  8. Buy. You'll be fine.(: Think about all the tight parties that are to come.(:

  9. people wont flush your head down a toilet or beat you up! dont listen to that other guy!! youll get through it! im a sophomore now and i thought freshmen year was fun! good luck!

  10. Dont worry. After they beat you up on freshman day and flush your head in the toilet you will be fine.

  11. aww don't be nervous, its better if you know or have friends when you go into highschool so you don't feel so alone, i say buy your lunch and if you school is really big you will get lost and probally have to ask every teacher how to get to some place, chilax and don't worry or you'll have a heart attack before school even starts by thinking about it

  12. please read it, its important to you!

    Chill!

I have told many other people this before, Middle school is full of drama and stress, and problems! Not saying High School isnt, but when your a pre-teen, and a young teen, you expect to get into all that and you make things seem more chaotic, stressful, dramatic, and problematic than it has to be. You expect to see what youve come to understand about teens, and so you build up this image and get all worried about it, and you turn regular things into stressful, dramatic, and problematic things because thats what you expect things to be like, especially in school, for a teen. So most of what you have come to understand isnt really true, or at least its not as bad as it looks, but pre-teens and young teens make middle school like that for themselves. Its really not a big chaotic mess!

High school is, contrary to what i use to think in middle school and elementary school, is the most fun and the best. exept the beggining of elementary, which was all just games and fun. The second part of elementary isnt good at all, and middle school was really chaotic and dramatic, and i expected high school to be twice as bad, but its alot simpler! MUCH simpler. Yes there is more work, and it looks really hard, but you will understand it more thamn you thought and it wont be bad if you just get it done ASAP. dont let missing assignments and other HW get built up on you, you will HATE school! Just get it done as soon after it was assigned as possible, the first chance you get, get it done! TRUST ME!!!! The few years i got bad about that, i hated the most and was super stressed! Dont let that happen to you!!!!! 9th grade is fun, exept the fact that uperclassmen and sophmores are sticking up their noses at you and you feel so small. But its not that bad.

Dont go into it expecting chaos and stress and drama! Yo wont get lost, its not that tricky, and if you are alittle late the first couple times, they understand because you are getting use to the new schedule.

I would bring your first few lunches. I prefer food from home anyway, but it also means no line, better food, no stress, ect.....

I  have always gone to a charter school, so i dont move to new schools like you do, so that took off alot of stress and made it really simple for me, and a much smoother transaction! But you dont have that, you wont know about the new school, you wont know the territory or the new peopel or the teachers, ect..... so you have it rough! So remember, the reputation you give yourself will stick for the next 4 years, and its extreamly hard to change. I was seen as a goof, and a weirdo for about 8 years, and before that, i was too young for a real rep. And i didnt like it, i decided i wanted to change it, and i did, but it wasnt easy, and some people still havent adjusted to it! So choose your rep wisly! Pick good friends, because your clique will also be semi-permenant or even permenant. Make sure you act natural, the way you want people to view you as. You MUST be yourself, because thats the best person to act like! Naturally, friends that suit you will join in efortlessly! Dont go trying to find friends, cause you'll end up with the wrong ones, let it happen naturally and by accident, dont plan it! Dont worry if you dont have many friends, it doesnt matter, just have one or two really good ones. Also, be friendly to as many people as possible! That way, you will have less enemys, more friends, and you will at least bve on a good foot with others instead of a bad or neutral. Dont mess this stuff up or you wont have a good experience. But dont stress about this, its easier than it sounds.

    IMPORTANT TIP!!!!

This is the most important tip for HS, DONT underestimate this!:

and another thing about reputations, dont misunderstand this, dont "build" your rep, just act like yourself and your true repuation will be built by itself! dont get a fake rep! This may be the most important tip for highschool! BE YOURSELF!!!! and everything else good will fallow naturally! You will get true friends and form your true "clique" and you will be happy, unstressed, and that will often help you get good grades. Unless they distract you from your studies and you focus on your social life, you will do fine, sometimes friends make it unstressful and you can get more done easier and more happily!

So basically, if it was hard to understand my main points, here they are. Its not as hard, chaotic, stressful, dramatic as it looks. Just go into it relaxed and ready. Be nice and friendly to everyone. Be yourself and let friends naturally be created around you, forming a clique, dont go looking for a clique to be in and dont go planning out how to meet friends, let it happen naturally for the best possible friends. Be very carful about the reputation tyou dreate for yourself! It will stick for a long time! Dont be pratentious, be yourself and you wont have a bad rep. The first weeks / days are crutial to build yourself a good rep, get good friends before they are already in a clique, if possible, have the clique form around you. That means get to know a single person or a few people. (pardon this cheesy metaphor, but:) be on of the first cells, then people will join you and form a sponge, its better than joining a cluster of cells already building a sponge.

Still not making sence? Here are the three main ideas:  Basically BE YOURSELF, be friendly with an open mind, and stay calm / dont freak out!

If you really dont understand this because of confusing wording that sounds like a contadiction, just fallow this one thing, it will solve almost all the problems of school:

    BE YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Its the best thing you can do for yourself!!! Please dont mess that up! It is very important, it may be cliche, but it is truly important! MANY people, including me, didnt act like themselves, and now it haunts us! I wish i could have just been myself when i first started! in 2nd grade, but i didnt, and i kept that metaphoric mask on all those years, and its practically glued to my face now! I am still working on removing it compleatly! So PLEASE dont mess it up, TRUST ME!!!!!!
